United Roots supports youth by encouraging and empowering them to become active participants in creating positive social change in their communities. Participants are encouraged to increase their civic engagement and actively create equitable solutions to the problems they identify as most pressing. We then provide opportunities for them to develop marketable skills toward resolving these problems, while also leading change in their communities.
United Roots has a core youth membership of 200 youth and engages up to 1,000 youth a year at events and during community projects and campaigns. We have engaged over 5,000 youth since opening in 2009 |
